CrossFit X- Factor has allowed me to go above and beyond my fitness goals. In college, I competed for one of the best known track schools in the nation – The University of Oregon. After winning the Pac 10 Championships, I went on to compete for another 2 years professionally. I feel fortunate to have found a place that has one of the best coaching staff’s in the country. There are so many things to offer every individual. The workouts are fun, challenging and I feel like I am in the best shape of my life. When you walk through the doors, expect to find yourself in a place “where everyone knows your name”. The community is strong, the friendships awesome. And I love that so many great people on every different level of fitness, age and ability can do it together. Needless to say, I have met my team again.

When a friend first suggested I check out CrossFit I thought she must be crazy. An obese couch potato whose daily exercise regimen consisted of walking from the couch to the fridge, I couldn’t fathom what CrossFit could offer me, let alone that I would actually be able to do it. Still, my friend was so enthusiastic that I finally relented and scheduled my first training session with Chris. It’s now four months later and I’ve lost 60 pounds and 5 dress sizes, and I feel better than I have in 20 years. At age 65, I am stronger, more limber and coordinated, than I was at 25. Workouts with Chris are different each day, which makes the time go quickly and he is really focused on what I need to do to meet my personal goals, so that I am challenged but always feel successful. I run half marathons and get faster each time, and I recover more quickly than I did when I was 60. My family and friends are always impressed with my fitness level and say I am their role model…which is also very motivating.
